Hello! Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Gwen Jensen and I am the owner of F1-Firewood.

I started this business in 2015 with the help of my husband, James.

It started with a spare pile of wood, a chainsaw, and an electric log splitter.

In August 2016 I invested in a pto-driven firewood processor, and six months later, in February 2017, I upgraded to a fully automated processor with attached log deck. This allowed me to meet the rapidly growing demands on the business.

Since then, the business has grown from strength to strength. I now have both my parents working for me! My (very hardy) mother wanted a to have a go at working my wood processor one day and I haven’t been able to get her off it since! So she cuts all the firewood for me. My dad keeps the processing machine loaded up with timber and empties the filled trailers of freshly cut firewood into large sheds ready to head off to customers. I do all the deliveries myself

I have recently ordered a bigger, faster machine to help meet the increasing demand for dry firewood.

I also rent a shed near Muir of Ord where I store wood, making deliveries around the Black Isle and Inverness more easily accessible. It is also used as a collection point for firewood customers from the west coast and the western Islands.
